How To Guide - Netfleet Assisted Sales

What are Netfleet Assisted Sales?

Netfleet Assisted Sales (NAS) is a process that domain names sold via our Aftermarket Auctions enter.  Simply put, once a sale has been agreed in our Aftermarket Auctions, the remaining process is managed by Netfleet Assisted Sales, with both buyer and seller being guided through the sales process, meaning a management and tracked transfer by Netfleet of both funds and change of registrant (change of domain name ownership).

What is the benefit for buyers?

One of the first steps in NAS is to validate domain name ownership, by ensuring all domain names listed in our Aftermarket Auctions are listed by the real owner.   An email to confirm listing a domain name for sale is sent to the record obtained from the Australian domain name registry - Afilias Australia Pty Ltd.

Once a sale agreed is agreed, as the buyer, you transfer the funds to Netfleet, who are acting as an agent for the seller in selling their domain name.   The funds are securely held by Netfleet until you, as the buyer, confirm you have full ownership and control of the domain name.  Only then are your funds released to the seller.  In the event of failure to transfer the domain name in to your name, the funds are returned to you.

All domain names that follow the NAS process, are managed by Netfleet, right though to completion.  For each step in the process, you will receive an email explaining the next action required, and by whom.

What is the benefit for sellers?

All buyers are registered with Netfleet and have submitted valid business/registrant details to ensure accountability, and for a speedier change of regsitrant occuring.

Once a sale agreed is agreed, Netfleet who are acting as an agent in selling your domain names, receive the full balance of the funds, and hold securely until the change of registrant is completed.  This means no more partial payment of funds, and you can be assured that at the end of a successful NAS, you will receive the funds in one transfer, minus the commission taken by Netfleet as detailed in Terms & Conditions - Netfleet Assisted Sales

All domain names that follow the NAS process, are managed by Netfleet, right though to completion.  For each step in the process, you will receive an email explaining the next action required, and by whom.
