Today saw the release of the premium generic keyword domain Creditcards.net.au. In a furious public auction today this domain reached the .net.au record setting price of $22,002, surpassing the recently announced sale of the closely related Creditcard.net.au which was sold late last year for $18,200. This is now the highest publicly recorded sale of a .net.au for a domain name only. Showing that for premium generic keyword domains a .net.au is still a domain worth owning. Dear All As per previous email communication to all clients earlier today, there was a security breach of our database at Netfleet. Since learning of the intrusion, we took Netfleet.com.au offline and have been taking steps to address the vulnerability that led to this incident. We have been cooperating with the AFP and Cert Australia conducting an exhaustive investigation in this matter. Today is the day that the 6 month prohibition on change of registrants has finally been removed. Now, you are free to transfer a domain name to a different registrant with no waiting period. You could register an Australian domain name in the morning, and sell it to another party by the afternoon.
