Domain Name Sales Activity – 30rd May to 5th June

As we rounded out a busy month in May, the start of June has shown promising signs that our customers are always on the lookout for one of Netfleet’s bargains. Below we bring you the sales results for the premium domains sold this last week, 30th May to 5th June. Taking out the week’s top sale was a rare two letter domain, lr.com.au, which sold on the 30th of May for a notable $4,937.85. Given the limited availability of such short configuration domains, it’s no surprise to see this domain was well sought after, with a private domain company eventually […]

Domain Name Sales Activity – 23rd May to 29th May

Winter might be on our doorstep but that hasn’t dampened the spirits of our customers, with Netfleet involved with the exchange of three premium domain names over the course of the last week. Officially exchanging hands on the 26th of May was the week’s highest selling domain, with the finance trend emerging once again after a week out of the spotlight. On this occasion the domain in question was financemycar.com.au, which settled for a final sum of $2,029.45. The domain’s new owner is a sole trader, and while details are limited on how the site will be used, the descriptive […]

The domain in question was compareloans.com.au, which now ranks as the 22nd highest selling domain through our site! What’s in a domain name?

What’s in a domain name? Quite a lot, actually. And a domain by any other name doesn’t necessarily smell as sweet. But before we get into that, what actually is a domain name? The simplest way to think of it is that it’s a website address, and we use them every day. So you know you can use them to buy stuff online, do your banking or check Facebook. But did you know that if you set your mind to it, you can actually make great money by investing in domain names? You might have heard about the sale of […]

Important Changes to our Auction format

We have been experimenting with different auction formats over the past few weeks in order to find the best solution format for selling domain names. On 21st October we will trial first price sealed bid auctions. In short, we will not show any prices on our auction platform, with all bids being fixed offers (being the price you enter [plus the buyers premium] will be the price paid – there will not be a proxy bidding system), and at the end of auction the highest offer wins. We will also be setting BIN prices on a selection of domain names. […]

Retirement of Aftermarket Auction

We have decided to retire our current Aftermarket Auction format after 12 months of hit and miss results and to focus our attention once again on the For Sale/Domain Catalogue option. The format failed to achieve the objectives I set for it in October 2012. Even though it performed well on volume it never gained much traction in achieving prices comparable to the Offer / Counter offer process in the Domain Catalogue. We tried our best to increase the number of eyes seeing the auctions by merging them with the popular expired domain auctions but they still failed to gain […]

It also better describes what the platform actually does!   1. Transfer We advise that you transfer * your names to Netfleet or at the very least point your nameservers to Netfleet to take advantage of our “For Sale” page. (* Transferring your name to Netfleet will ensure you receive […]
